Wow the world moves fast. Another year has come and gone, but a lot of good things this past year brought. As I sat thinking about last night and the past year, I become to realize just how truly blessed I am. I am blessed with family, friends, and a wife, that no other woman could compare to. Funny how as you do get older you get wiser (even though I had wisdom tooth pulled this past week!)
Its so easy to get caught up in the here and now, the this and that but you will miss what true pleasures life brings, as in each other and the company of the one you love and care about. That in its self is a lesson that must be learned personally I guess. I remember early in college in my more rebellious days, if you will, there were times when I could care less about hanging out with my immediate family much less my extended family. Man now I think wow, what was I thinking. I truly believe your character is build from what you learn and who you learn if from, so soround yourself with people you admire and wish to be like.
So big recap of the last month. Kristin and I have been busy with some company for the past few weeks, her sister Heather is in town visiting us and Dan Hall, my cousin whom she is dating. We have had a blast having her here. I know it meant alot to Kristin to have her here. Holidays are hard here for Kristin, not being with her family. I espcially have enjoyed Heather being here, her presence has put a glow back in Kristin that she has been missing since she started having her headaches. It has been great for the four of us to hang out and do things.
Christmas was great, we drug Heather along to all my family events. She actually made one that Kristin and I missed (breakfast). We recieved lots of great gifts. Thanks mom and dad! Thanks Ann!(I love the clock!) I hope everyone had a good holiday. New Years was fun, Kristin and I had just a few people over (last minute idea). Dan and Heather of course, along with Joe, Angie, and Chrissy came. Amanda also stopped by for a while. We enjoyed some great wines and cheese, but above all we had a blast just enjoying each other. Kristin and I watched a movie earlier about a big family. I always wished I would have had a brother or two. Well its easy to over look but I do have a couple. Other people call them cousins. I couldnt have picked better brothers if I had to.
You know I was having a conversation with an old friend the other night. She was telling me about her boyfriend troubles and how didnt know what she was going to do on New Years. She told me that you have to kiss someone at New Years because it will tell how your year is going to go. In other words if you dont kiss someone, you will have a bad year. I told her that is funny because my worst New Years was the year I met Kristin, now look we’re married. She said well, maybe if you call me tomorrow night to wish me a happy new years I will be sound asleep in my bed. Life is meant to be lived, the world is your’s told hold. The only thing to hold you back is not anyone but yourself. Dream big!
