Quote for the day!

Co-worker: Did you see that Adidas now has shoes with a computer in it.

Me: Yeah, I saw that.

Co-worker: I just want to know if it has a usb connection.

Me: yeah?

Co-worker: So I can download a 5 mile run.

Spring weather, there you are!

10:29 am

Nothing makes me want to get up and going more than nice weather especially after some rainy, nasty weather we just had. We had a nice Easter weekend. Saturday morning Kristin and I ran some wedding errands, followed by a game of wallyball with the fam. That night we had my cousin Joe and his wife Angie over for some dinner. We had spiced rub chicken accompanied by a nice glass of wine. After that we colored Easter eggs, that was funny.

Sunday (Easter), we had church then went to my aunt and uncle’s house for lunch and birthdays. I always like people celebrating my birth. Makes you feel majestic like important.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter.

Mondays…

March 21, 2005 9:49 pm

Who ever decided that Mondays should be the first day of the work week should be shot. We often laugh at work about the movie “Office Space”; partly because we do work in a corporate computer company, that more times than not resembles the company in the movie. If you have ever seen the movie then you know where I am going with this. In the movie they keep telling him that, “its sounds like someone had a case of the Mundays”. At least every other Monday I think of that line and think man Mondays do really suck.

I mean can they be any worse, you’re just coming back from two days off work where you did anything you wanted besides work.

Quote of the week - ” Why am I farting? ” (that comes via Kristin of a school kid)

Atlanta, past week, and life in general..

March 20, 2005 8:53 pm

Atlanta was a lot of fun. It was nice to spend the weekend with Joe (my cousin) and Angie (his wife). As you know, we arrived Friday. Well Saturday morning we woke up and had Dunkin Donuts for breakfast. Man were they good. We eventually headed out and drove around just looking at some absolutely huge houses. Like it is hard to believe some people could spend so much money on a house, big. But I did get some good ideas! After that got old we headed down town, where we toured the Coke museum. It was actually better than it sounds. We checked out the Underground Atlanta, which was really more of a joke. So we cruised on over to the Sun Dial Hotel, which has a elevator to the top with overlooks that you can see out for miles. I was very impressed. Centennial Park was only about 2 blocks away, we headed there next. The park was not all that impressive, but the Olympic rings fountain was pretty cool. Later that night Joe and I took a few night shots while Angie and Kristin took a siesta. Krisitin and I treated Joe and Angie to dinner since it was his birthday and they had invited us down. We really wanted to eat at the Cheesecake Factory, but the wait there was two hours and it was already almost 9 o’clock. So we wound up at a place called Max and Ermma’s. It was food and we were hungry to say the least. We did manage to swing by to grab some cheesecake for when we got back to the hotel.

Sunday, we slept in a little. Then went for a little hike down a trail by the Chattahoochee River. It was very cool for being in such a big city. We helped Joe and Angie pack up their stuff then headed back towards Kentucky. We stopped at Lookout Mountain on the way back in Chattanooga. It was mildly interesting.

This past week flew by after getting back from Atlanta. Its seems like we were on the go ever since return. We were glad to see this weekend come. Joe and Angie were back in town, so on Saturday we went sailing. Man was it ever a good day for sailing. Too much wind and gusty wind is a good problem to have when sailing compared to no wind at all. Sunday (today), we went to church, then decided to take Delci up to LBL, for a hike around Honker Lake. Its a nice 5 mile hike. She loved playing the lake.

I know what most of you are thinking, two posts in one week? I know more like a bonus :) So we are down in Atlanta for the weekend to go sightseeing with my cousin Joe and his wife Angie. We made the drive yesterday afternoon and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I did drive most of the way down which made the drive go by faster for me.

Today is Joe’s birthday. He is only a year younger than I, he’s 25 today. Not sure what we will be doing special for his bday but I am sure there will be something in the works. Last night went out to dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery. It was very good. They brew their own beers there which were very good. The food was excellent as well.
