Spring… Where are you?

January 29, 2005 5:45 pm

Talk about dreary weather, we have had it today. On top of that I had the privilege of going to the bridal show here in Paducah with Kristin. It wasn’t as bad as I had originally expected. I would do anything for her, even if that means accompanying her to the bridal show (closest thing to death, jk).

The three people living in this house are so very ready for nicer, warmer weather. Delci is ready to run free. A ride on my bike at the lake or even a hike on a warm sunny day would be an uplifting experience only dreamed about on days like today.

Another step in the right directions…

Kristin and I worked on some wedding stuff today. I got my list of things to do for tomorrow, since I don’t have to work until 4. So many hours to invest for only a couple hours in the end out a persons lifetime of hours. Really makes you wonder about things. If someone can put so much time and effort on such a short time period for a group of people, do those people ever appreciate the time and effort that person put in. Which I guess weddings are different since usually the person planning (bride/groom) are the ones that will reap the benefits in the end.

I would also like to wish Renee a Happy Birthday. I think she is 21 once again. ;)

Weekend Joys

January 24, 2005 11:33 pm

Weekend run on a different clock, because I know there has to be less than 24 hours in a weekend day. Friday night Kristin and I went out to dinner, then did a little shopping. I bought a couple of new shirts and ties for work. Saturday evening we attended Foley’s wedding, which we both really enjoyed. It was a total different perspective going to a wedding and reception when you are planning one. You pay attention to so much more of the details and the little things. Their cake is a lot like what Kristin wants.

Sunday it was beautiful outside, even with the cool temperatures. After church, the three of us hopped into the car and headed for the LBL. We hadn’t been down to visit the buffalo in some time. I had a chance to take some pretty good pictures a few of the buffalo, a couple of us looking at some deer just off the road, and some arguably really good shots of the sunset across the lake.

FRIDAY! Always a good day.

There is just something about Fridays that makes you smile first thing in the morning. Or at least that is how I feel, maybe is just knowing that I have the next two days off of work. Kristin is back in town, which always puts a smile on my face. Can’t wait to enjoy the weekend with her. Big wedding tomorrow, my long time college friend Christie Foley is getting married tomorrow.

So last night I went to my parents for dinner, afterwards my dad and I went and took some night shots of the Four Rivers Center.

You will never guess what we ran into while driving around afterwards…

Yup that is right its the wienermobile!

I just thought that was hilarious. It was in a hotel parking lot. So of course we stopped and took pictures. :)

Friends are great things…

On a whim I called Scott, one of my good friends college, Thursday night. After work last night I drove to St. Louis where Scott now lives. Scott owns a duplex that he lives in and rents the other side out.

It had been over as much as eight months since I have seen Scott. We rode in his bling bling truck

to this morning to a car show down at the America Center. Where we saw one of my dream cars, although it is just a replica I would still take it. I am not real wild about the color.

That is right, it is a Shelby Cobra. What a smoking car!!

Delci went on a sleep over and my aunt and uncle’s house where they have a fenced in back yard. She has been outside all day today and ever since we have been home she has done nothing but sleep. One tired puppy I guess! Maybe she is just tired of missing Kristin ;)
