You would never guess how much snow we have received. We all knew we were way over due for a good winter storm. Well, we got it alright. By Wednesday morning we had only a few inches. By late afternoon we had a ruff six inches. Kristin and I curled up to a movie for the evening. After the movie was over and the blizard had subsided, we went out to check it out. We had about 11 to 12 inches of snow!! And it is only suppose to get colder over the next few days. That means a WHITE CHRISTMAS!!

Man we have been so busy lately. Last week we were running getting everything ready for this past weekend. Kristin’s parents flew in for her college graduation. Very proud of her. So we busy weekend with them. Friday night we just had a nice dinner at our house. Saturday morning was graduation and then went to Nashville to see ICE, big Christmas display ice carvings. Sunday her parents went to church with us, then we met up with the rest of my family for lunch at Logan’s. They left later that night. It is hard to believe Christmas is only a few days away. Seems like only yesterday we were stuffing our faces with Thanksgiving dinner. New years will be here in no time.

Thursday was some what of an eventful evening. We came home to a house 3/4 without power. Seems most of the house as in lights and outlets are ran off of one breaker, which kept popping. We tried everything to isolate the problem. It took the landlord and an electrician the next day to find out that the sump pump that the landlord put under the house was shorting the circuit. Needless to say we spent Thursday night without most power. We ran an extension cord in from the garage to power the fridge and the TV in the family room. It just sucked though not being able to get on the computer or the internet if I wanted to. Funny how we become so used to and semi-dependent on having certain amenities. When they are not there any longer its a big shock.

Man it seems like we are forever busy doing something or nothing. Over this past weekend on Saturday morning I met Dad down at the Four Rivers Center before sunrise. We went up on the roof and got a few pictures of the sun rising. Saturday night was my Christmas party for work, which was fun and good eating.
Sunday after church the weather took a turn for the worse. So Kristin and I went to see “Ray”, which I must recommend. For as long as the movie was if flew by. Nothing like a movie that tells a true life story.
Monday night was our usual puppy class. We started learning “Down” and “Give”. We are doing very well with Down. So Kristin and I are excited.

Weekdays seem so long while I am at work, yet when I get home time flies. Up for the first weekend in December, Dad and I are going to try and get some good sunrise pictures maybe Saturday morning. Saturday night is my Christmas party for work, which was great last year (great food and prizes).
Been talking to Joe, they are about a week and a half away from being back in the U.S. I am pumped about that. Hopefully we will get to spend some time with them while there are here. If you don’t know they will soon be heading to Atlanta, then New Jersey.
Kristin and I may make a road trip to possibly Nashville on Sunday after church. Our hopes are doing our Christmas shopping, but we may get sidetrack. Never know . After all there are some great holiday things to do in Music City USA.
