Wow busy morning at work, and after I get off work I am moving from my apt to the house I rented. I still haven’t packed for vacation. So my hopes are to get moved in and organized enough to pack for vacation. *crosses fingers*

Kristin has been the best girlfriend ever!! She has spent all morning while I have been at work cleaning the house. Maybe I should do something special for her, maybe take her on vacation with me. JK. Really though. Have to think on that one.

If you haven’t already noticed or heard,  I have rented a house in Paducah.   I have the keys and plan on starting to move immediately.  Kristin and I looked at it yesterday after work and decided we both liked it.   It is on the southside of town, but is only a couple of streets over from my Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Sharon.  It is a quaint little two bedroom, one bath, with a small room upstairs that will have to be storage.  It has a very small porch on the front,  a patio out back, and a nice yard.  We also have a nice sized garage, which has many possibilities (definitely where the dart board is going). VACATION NEXT WEEK!!!

Man it seems like when you everything in the world to do, that you never have any time to do it in.

Last weekend Kristin and I went to Jack’s Fork River with Joe and Angie.  We had a very good time.  We drove over on Friday night, got there rather late.  Saturday we paddled the upper portion of the river, only sprinkled off and on.  We got back to camp in enough time before dark to start a fire.  We had brauts and Weiners for dinner followed by a big dutch oven full of Apple Cobbler.   What can I say?  Joe and I just impress.  Since it rained on us all night Saturday night, we decided to pack up and head on back on Sunday.  Still was a very good trip. 

This week has been  hectic already.  I have to work all week and spent last night driving around Paducah looking for a place to live.  Crazy I tell ya.

Two weeks from today I will be sittin here thinking, “I can’t wait till tomorrow because I will be on vacation!” I will be so ready for it too. The week before vacation I have to work just about everyday except for Friday. I am sure I will spend that day packing. I have a feeling this vacation is going to be spectacular. Definitely one to remember.

Yesterday (Sunday) I was off work so Kristin and I took a road trip to Nashville. We took our mountain bikes with us. We decided we would go to the mall before riding. So we locked our bikes in the back of the truck and headed into the mall. We went to the Opry Mills mall, we ate lunch at a great barbecue place, Dickeys. Man it was some good eatin!

After eating we shopped our way around the mall. While in the Nike store where I found a couple of great buys, it started thundering and pouring down rain. I bought to riding shirts and a dri-fit shirt. Once we made our way back around so the food court it had stopped raining so we drove up to Gallatin, to ride at Lock 4.

Trail was just a little wet, which was not good because it is a fairly technical trail with lots of rocks and roots. Finally hit a root i was lucky to make it over and Kristin, who was riding behind me, didn’t make it over. The lake was about 4 feet from the trail. She was more worried about her bike going in the lake (which it didn’t) than herself or her injuries. You can always tell if someone gets right back up then it then they aren’t usually hurt bad. Well she didn’t hop right back up.

She fortunately only bruised her shin on two places, but it welped up right away. We were guessing from where she hit her bike. We went ahead and cut out. She put ice on it and the swelling has went down, but a little sore today. We had a great ride besides that. We both enjoyed our day together. It was just nice to get away.
